*new* for TheShipsList
website http://www.theshipslist.com/
All the new and updated files and databases have been placed on their own
page(s)
Find them on the front page in between the big arrows
--------------> <---------------
At the bottom of each of these pages I have placed links named " previous
month " and " next month " so you are able to navigate back and forth
between the monthly *new & updated* pages, as I only keep three months of
*new* page links on the Home page. New for January 2010 is . . .
o Passengers:
o Voyageur - 17th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 16th October 1834
o Voyageur - 18th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 21st October 1834
o Voyageur - 19th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 31st October 1834
o Voyageur - 20th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 10th November 1834
o Voyageur - 21st trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 21st November 1834
The last five passenger lists for the steamboat VOYAGEUR for
1834. Amazingly there was even a new emigrant travelling with an
"Emigration Society" ticket on the very last trip .. Nov. 21 ... Sadly this
winds up all records we have for 1834 as only passenger lists for two
steamboats survived.
o Fleets:
o Lambert Brothers & subsidiaries
o Morel Ltd., Cardiff 1876-1956
Two more cargo Fleets. I've noticed that all the tramp / cargo fleets I've
done recently all lost a tremendous number of vessels during WWI and
WWII ... I guess colliers &c. didn't travel in convoys like the
transatlantic ships did.
Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list
to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those
list members (in other words, on-topic).
Enjoy
Sue
