You've got a semantic problem there. The East India Company lost its
sovereign control over India and its own army about 1873 after a number of
foul ups including the Indian Mutiny. However, the British continued to
trade with India after and it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of the
merchants didn't use the name East Indian in its name the same was as with
Canada Life insurance company and other companies with no tie with the
government of the company.

I have noted that East India Merchants ceased to exist as a legal entity in 187

st India Merchants @ 34 Leadenhall St.
Is it possible to find out how many ships were involved & what was being traded
?
