You do not say when in 1924 but from the London Times shipping news comes this:

Feb 28 London for Sydney

March 1 - "Psd. Prawle Pt. 29th for Sydney."

March 24 - "Left Table B. 22nd for Fremantle."

On Jan 22, 1912 the Times states that the Beltana was just being 
built but she was sailing later that year on the Sydney run.
