I checked the NY Times of May 10 and the ship info is:
SS Rusia, (Ger.,) Reuter, Hamburg 12 ds., with
mdse. and passengers to R.J. cortis. Arrived at the Bar at 5:45 A.M.
There is no mention of any deaths on the voyage.
