There are a good group of Pittsburgh directories on line at
http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/DirM.htm
1890C 1895C 1897C 1895B 1898C 1899 these years are up and
fully browseable you might find a Crossley of the right name
I did check the 1900 incase they were still here, there was a man but
he was born in 1880.
