Hi Frank,
I wonder if this might be your ONECO mentioned in 1850 as an "American
ship, 654 tons." Below I've included the 1853 arrival notice which
mentions 640 tons, ... other April mentions of that vessel still in
Hobson's Bay all mention she was a "ship," so I feel fairly confident that
yours was an American ship.

The Sydney Morning Herald Thursday 01 February 1853
The New York Herald of October 2nd, says the following vessels were laid
on for Australia:- Tho Oneco, SacatÃn, Mejora, Torrent, Nebraska, and
Eagle. The Oneco would be the first vessel, as she had all her pasengers -
two hundred - engaged.

family, Mr. and Mrs. Sinjohn, Messrs. Jentile, Shorthouse, Barringall,
Rollinson, Smoke, Aikin, Scarff, Rogers, Taylor, Venvoit, M'Lachlan,
Asslein, Lagorandaire ; 168 second cabin.
