My Grandmother emigrated to Canada but returned in 1916 to marry my Grandfather.
I have been looking for more information on this for years and I have found what could be
my Grandmother embarking from Liverpool on the 4th May 1911 on the Tunisian.?
My Grandmother's name was Harriet Eveline Gilbert know as Hettie or Het.? This passenger
was called Hettie E Gilbert.? Harriet was born on the 16th October 1891 Devonport, now
part of Plymouth, Devon.
I have a copy of the instructions to purser listing this person saying she was going to Paris
Ontario and that her religion was a Baptist.? I have found a person on the 1911 Census in
Paris that seems like it could be my Grandmother and am looking into that too.
I was wondering if there is anymore information anywhere so I could find out more about
this Hettie Gilbert.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jill
Devon
