Thank you Lorine and Eliz:
Sometimes Mr. Pulley was careless with the truth; other times he
lied. He m. I: 1886, QC. Went to Dallas 1889?, then m. II: 1904
Dallas, saying he was a widower. :-) I did find a reference on
Ancestry that he is listed in the Dallas Co. Tx Index to
Naturalization Records, but the Ancestry information was minimal:
year- 1892, age- 44, place- Dallas. There is a citation for the DGSQ,
which I have ordered via Interlibrary Loan. 1900 census says "Na;"
1910 and 1920 say A(lien) Perhaps he filed the application but never
followed through? Obtaining the Dallas Naturalization Index seems
like the most logical first step--its a citation ... with his name!
Thank you both for your help and suggestions, will return here when I
get a date or a ship's name.
