[TSL] Ships England to/from US 1826-1836

Hello Everyone, I am new to this list and working on a brick wall for George 
Nickalls and family who left England from Kent for the US at the earliest, 
May 1826 and arriving latest, May 1828. Returned to England between July 
1833 and August 1836 (most likely closer to the earlier date).

Is there a list of ships leaving/returning to England for these periods? 
Newpapers to scan? Have no idea where they went to in the US. Only clue is a 
handed down maybe accurate family story of a child born onboard ship in the 
Mississipi river.

As 3 children were born in the US, would they have been registered there? If 
I can pin down where they were I may be able to track them down in the 1930 
US Census.
