I have a copy of a passenger list for the Ship MOHAWK which embarked
from Londonderry and arrived in Philadelphia, PA on July 6, 1802. The
list contains a name which may be my immigrant ancestor - and it is the
right year. A family story says that the ship carrying my ancestor ran
into a storm and took 3 months to make the crossing. The ship record
does not list the date of embarkation. Can anyone tell me how I can find
out if there is a record of this particular ship in Britain which might
list the embarkation date?
