I am seeking any information about my great great great grandfather Mathew
POWER, a mariner, or Master Mariner who may have traded between Waterford and
Devon in the late 1790's and early 1800's. He married Elizabeth FISHER in
October 28, 1807 in the Parish of Northam, North Devon. The witnesses were
John Fisher and Mary Symons (parents of Elizabeth?). The above information is
from their marriage certificate where he is listed as a Mariner.

They had three children: Mary (b. Feb 22, 1808), Elizabeth (b. Sept 30 1810)
both baptized in the Parish of Northam and, Thomas (b. 1819) in Plymouth,
South Devon Thomas bacame a Master Mariner (cert.#2017) and was the Captain
of several ships. He made many trips between Liverpool and Valparaiso, Chile.
